The donkeys traipse up and down the steps, but by 6 pm or so, all the little donkeys go on their way home. If you are ahead of them in the street like we were, for a while, you can take photos of them like this. If you are behind them, as we were shortly afterwards, you have an opportunity to clean your shoes on the handy mats in the restaurant entrance.
